Me & my early days in Doha

It’s been almost 2 year I’m working in this country, still remember the first day I came here, it was on a cold winter night in early January, I was full of excitement and yet worries since it was the first time I went abroad. I came together with another Indonesian friends, there were 8 of us

My early days in here I stayed in company’s flat, there are people from different countries lived there and I was shared a room with 2 friends from Indonesia. It was located very close to the airport, just by the other side of the road, I can watch the planes come and go directly through my windows. only 3 of us stayed in this place, the other Indonesian friends were placed in another place. I was still try to adjust myself in this new situation and tried to get used to everything.

my early days in Doha I went out quite often that time, either with friends  or alone just to see things that I haven’t seen before,  spent couple hours by the seaside watched the view  of this seaside city.walked around the markets and  traditional shops, it was so exciting, what a great experience.

Souq Wafiq is always be my favourite place to visit, it is a arabian traditional market, it’s so beautiful and exotic, old arabic building architecture, souvenir shops are plenty in here. It will be crowded in the night time since mostly the shops in here are open in 4:00 pm. I usually went there with friends having coffee and sheesha.

    • Doha itu ibukota nya Qatar, satu negara kecil di timur tengah. emang gak banyak yg tau sih, aku juga baru tau ttg Qatar pas ada asean games taun 2006

ya emang awalnya susah adaptasi, tp sekarang tampaknya udah terbiasa (ditandai dgn brat badan yg meningkat sangat drastis ^^). iya pengalaman kerja n tinggal diluar negeri tuh emang seru. banyak nemu dan belajar hal2 baru…

    Amin.
